Dragging and dropping does not work for program files, it works for files like movies of music. The operating system installed programs to Program Files and the computer configured it to work in that one place (although changing the location can be done if the target .exe in the shortcuts is altered).

but will itunes want to re-locate all my music and vidoes if i move it?
i has worked for me when i installed some games in the wrong drives
and programs like paint.net worked as well.
Literally drag and drop ALL of your music onto the new hard drive, organize it as you see fit.
Then you can update your media library :).
For WMP it might be simpler to just delete the whole library then scan the new hard drive for the music. (All the Tags will be there still (name for files) as they are stored onto the files).
you need to install the new hard drive, then transer the files onto it, no other way. Th enew hard drive will be exactly like the c drive in My computer :D just named something like F drive lol
what do you mean install it? its already there, its been there since ive had this laptop. and why would it be the F drive if its already the D drive?
