I only need it to print essays - not pictures or images or scan stuff or anything. And can easily be hooked up or disconnected without much trouble. Which would be the best brand/printer for this?

My sister has one and it's small, cheap, prints well and work instantly. Oh, and she has OS X and I do to and I didn't have a problem setting hers up and getting it working.
