I have recently upgraded to an ATI Radeon HD 4870 x2 and during use the screen goes on and off randomly but not all the time.

It can't be a heat problem as it's 47 degrees when idle.

What could be the problem?

Have you checked the monitor is plugged in properly at the back?

Also, have you checked any forums/sites seeing if people have had the same problem?

It might be your actual computer causing it to happen?

All cables are connected securely. I tried searching but found nothing.

It was working perfectly before the upgrade. My computer is compatible with the card, I made sure of that.
