Asus M2N-VM DH for £40

http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1343&l1=3&l2=101&l3=345&l4=0

or

ASRock ALiveNF5-eSATA2+ for £35

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=ALiveNF5-eSATA2%2b&s=AM2

It's to be used with my AMD Athlon 64 - 4800 DualCore

These are selling cheap second hand, but believed to be in good working order.

I don't know much about motherboards, which one would give me the best performance for my money?

The Asrock has a better chipset, and more PCI slots (not that you really need them...) however, its kinda obscure.

Its your call, there really wont be much noticeable difference between the two.

please buy from newegg. all other places are a rip off

I have gotten stuff cheaper from both Geeks.com and TigerDirect.com (and in store).  And I have gotten stuff the day after I ordered it with 3-10 day shipping.  But, Newegg and TigerDirect end up being about the same price.

On Topic:  I'd go with the Asus, bit better brand but both are good.
