A few places offer XP, but they still have to include a Vista license. They simply charge you for Vista, then charge you again for XP, then charge you an extra fee to downgrade it. Thats how it is, and thats how MS requires it. Edit: As for RAM, 3gb will be fine. And be happy its Vista! That system should run it good, and you will probably love it. Just be sure to disable UAC if you find it annoying.
