ok, so I put in a CD and it doesn't load, so I go to device manager and it says there is a driver problem..I click 'update driver' and it says no newer ones can be found..how do I fix these?

Find drivers yourself, manufacturer website.  If your drive still does not work you can get a DVD burner for less than $40 these days, easily.
