Hell ya, used GetDataBack 3.64 to get 161 out of around 240GB of stuff off of my dead external. Good program, I highly reccomend!

Got back a lot of personal files and old data backups :)

You should have just ran SpinRite on it, probably would have fixed the entire drive for you.

SpinRite had errors when it detected 2 drive settings on one drive. It isn't partitioned and it's only a 500GB drive. GetDataBack lets the end user explore each setting individually.

you really are obsessed arnt you?

The difference is bitch, I spend my time learning more and more about hacking, file systems, data and such to make sure I go into my advanced computer forensics/security classes already prepared.

I like PC's, you infer I have no life. You enjoy horses, can I infer that you like bestiality?

that's cool. i remember using GetDataBack when i formatted my computer and erased all my mom's shit.

i don't know why windows doesn't implement a way to only reinstall system files and leave everything else alone.

It was an external drive and my 360 fucked up the drive info or whatnot causing it to be 'unformatted' to my pc. However, I was still able to access files on the 360 so I knew everything was still there. Did some research and ran across that program. Best program I've bought in a while.
