Ive got a two year old alienware. I have this continious problem with it.

Basically  If i use it for a couple of hours, it works fine.

If i then want to use it again the same day, it fires up to he desktop, and works fine for about 5 minutes, then it freezes and shuts down.

And then if I restart it again, everything starts up and then it shuts down again. This happens before windows gets loaded.

help?

It's either a really bad problem with windows (driver conflict? registry fu*k up?) or with the hardware itself (dying components). It's hard to say exactly what it is...

I have had to fix problems like that, easiest thing to do was to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows.
