I recently updated my memory on my HP laptop and my brother has one too...I noticed that we had different makes of memory even though it was the same size etc...HP obviously just get their parts from china...I find that disappointing that HP use different makes for their computers lol

WTF ?

Why does it matter... ?

You can use any make you want.

What makes you say China... why not... South Korea or Japan ?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were... but unless you actually know...

it really doesnt matter where they were made.. its the brandname, and even more inportant, the product #..

They use different makes because it will all do the same thing. It's not like your screwing around with it like a toy.

k hp is a very bad company imho, I think they should stick to making printers

if you really want a computer that is fairly inexpensive, yet really good, go to staples and build up a rig.. once you have a rig, just keep updating it.. its sooo much cheaper then buying through HP, because HP usually has software preventing easily updating hardware.. to update my buddies videocard I had to swap motherboards cause the HP BIOS just didnt have what it took..

even though its different makes it'll still work but that isn't good though. i hope my hp doesn't have different makers of ram....
