I've even heard that often laptopt cpus are underclocked to that aim. Even then, high end laptops don't last very long when just on battery power. Might be possible... really don't see the point but. You may be able to find a better laptop cpu and put that in...   even that seems a bit unlikely though, seeing as how proprietary laptops tend to get. I wouldn't spend that much money on an upgrade for a game because I don't game much and that will be obsolete soon anyway. That's the problem with PC gaming, they always need the latest hardware. If you want to play the game though, what sort of processor do you currently have?  If it's a laptop, then you're better of getting a Desktop for serious gaming as you'll be able to upgrade easier and cheaper than a laptop. If you have a fair bit of money to spend get a new desktop with a decent processor and graphics card, if you're more limited then get a new graphics card instead. You cannot change laptop proccessors on most laptops, although you can on some.
