Maybe it's just overloading? Too much stuff saved into it? Have you tried taking it to a tech place to get it checked out?
Not yet. I have been downloading alot lately so that could be it...
I highly doubt it. It should never cause problems like that, and I'm an avid downloader. I rip movies and convert files a lot and those are pretty processor intensive. It seems like there's a hardware fault, which can happen. You need to contact Apple or go to your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider to get it checked out and fixed. This is not a normal occurrence. |

| Some laptops just aren't built in with enough ventilation to the heat gets trapped. I know you can buy a laptop fan that hooks up to the bottom of your laptop that cools it...I'd suggest buying one of those from best buy for like $30. |

| Which generation is it? When did you get it? As far as I know there has been no recall apart from the batteries. If you ring up Apple and explain the situation, or take it into the Apple store they should be able to fix it or exchange it for you as long as you're within the 1yr warranty, or you have purchased AppleCare. |

| I have a macbook and that only happens when I have the ventilation area covered. You might want to call for support or visit some mac related forums. |
