Ubuntu is great. Want to try fedora but it doesn't boot on my laptop... tried SUSE too I like the control panel but other than that I don't like it.

Ugh, for some reason Linux just seems to be failing me. I have no clue why it runs so badly on this computer, so I'm hoping that the new Windows might run a little better. That, or I'll find a distro other than Ubuntu that can handle running on this computer better without leaving me frustrated beyond belief.

I have used it, but never enjoyed it.  I work in Windows and play in MacOS.

Sometimes I use Unix, but that's as close as I get.

i installed it once and didnt know what to do after that lol

Yes, it's the only operating system I use. If you want me to go into specifics, I use Arch with Openbox as my WM, and XFCE as another session. Ubuntu is alright, but apt-get and synaptic are retarded. Pacman is a better package manager.

I have Ubuntu & XP on this machine, and Kubuntu on my other workstation

eek KDE... ugly lol

Yea. I like Ubuntu more, but my lady finds Kubuntu easier to use than Ubuntu because the layout appears familiar to her since it looks like Windows.

Eh, thats why i like the GNOME platform, more Mac-ish lol

Considering the fact that I use it, yes.  Fedora is my favorite.

I downloaded and installed Ubuntu a while back and used it for a bit but I got tired of having to turn off my computer to go back on windows...

You could download and install some kind of 'virtual pc' software to run both at the same time.

This computer would probably die... It only has 512MB ram.

This machine does also.  This one I'm on is the shittier of the two.  Where the other machine is about eight months old and in use, this VAIO I'm using has been around since 2002.  Is where I do my gaming except for some game that demand more power.

Of course, I don't live under a rock. Ubuntu is alright, but I think it's slightly overrated. Fedora is a lot better for one.

This, minus the ubuntu is alright. I can't stand ubuntu :/
