Let's only hope.

But, I think at least a lighter price for the upgrade would be great.  In fact, even for Windows XP users.

You knew it was becoming really bad when you had to pay a lot for a downgrade to versions of XP.

What do you think?  I think free for the pain and suffering.

Vista isn't a bad OS. Though I'm a complete fan of Apple, their commercials (though funny) bash Vista a bit too much. I am one of the only users that prefers it to XP. The only complaint I have is it's slow. When Windows 7 comes out, I will look for a way to get a cheap upgrade--I want the speed, not necessarily the features.

EDIT: I'm glad that MS is making their operating system work better. Apple is doing the same thing with Snow Leopard. Technology is coming along so fast that there's not many more features people want besides speed.

Are people still pretending Vista was a bad OS? it works fine if you PC is actually capable of running it, it's like complaining that you can't run XP on some machine from 1992.

I have a 2.98 dual core amd Processor, 4 Gb ram, 500Gb HDD running Windows vista business 32bit and i am having no end of problems with vista. unstable, vunerable. I would love a free or at least highly discounted version of Windows 7. <p> Greetings from New Zealand

You pay so much to downgrade because you have to buy the Vista license as well.

Im sure you will be able to go from XP to Win7, but its going to be the usual $100-180.

Vista is good though. It runs fine if you have the proper hard ware.

I must be one of the few people that actually like vista and haven't had a problem with it.

bashing vista is just trendy. people watch too many of those stupid mac commercials.

I've been on friend's computers and it just was bad.  So i'm not on any bandwagon.  As for my computer, I'm running on 4GB so of course, I'm not having any critical problems.
