ALRIGHT! THIS IS SO COOL! ANOTHER APPLE PRODUCT THAT WILL CRASH! lol, the mac pro is still going to be decades behind what a pc and linux combined can offer!

 Lol-able!

Basically take everything in that post and switch it completely.

Except for the linux part.  They've had stuff for years that apple and microsoft have recently started/are in the process of implementing.  Assuming, of course, Pc = windows, because god forbid you run something other than windows on pc hardware.

Yes, I agree, I didn't mean the linux part.

Tybalt, when was the last time you actually USED a recent "windows" PC?

Windows XP doesn't suck that much, I almost never have problems from it. Linux doesn't suck either, I use it quite a bit too. Mac fanatics need to quit labeling PCs as "windows-only" and quit pretending XP is identical to 95/98/ME.

I'd sell my soul for a Mac Pro.  I'm stuck with a mac mini at the moment and while it's better than a windows pc I'm craving power.

If I wanted Mac OSX id run Virtual PC.  It might be more cost effecient than buying a mac.

It is overpriced.  I built the same damn thing with opterons, 500 gig harddrive, 4 gig of ram, nvidia 7800GTX, two optical drives, and a 19 inch display for the same price.

Nah, its not the same. The shit you built won't run Mac OS (very easily). I've lost all fatih in Microsoft. I've had no problems with Mac OS (and yes, I use my computer for more than web browsing and word processing, I use it for professional uses and more).

nice job, except I didnt mention a damn thing about OS's.  Especially since I hate the living hellout of MS.

Plus, OS X tiger is priced at $129, does that justify the price discrepancy between the computer I built and a comparable outfitted Mac Pro (which is much more than $129?

$2500 for that seems awfully high given the components. Bah, that's why I'll probably never buy Apple. They overcharge like crazy.

Heh heh, this update on MacRumors (grr, there should be a second u in rumours. Silly Americans) made me laugh.

Well no shit, Sherlock.
tballa2006 Posted at 10:31 am on Aug. 7, 2006
i got one right now!
Kuzaki Posted at 10:26 am on Aug. 7, 2006
I'm drooling as we speak. All over my keyboard.
$2500 works out at around £1310 so a couple of months solid work and I'll be getting me a Mac Pro.
