| If you've not added hardware, try re-installing OS X from the disks you got with the iMac. It sounds like you're iMac just may have been a faulty production unit. Either take it into the nearest Apple store, or phone up Apple and explain your problem to them. |

| Have you added new RAM or any other 3rd party hardware. It's common for things like that to cause problems if they haven't been inserted correctly. Try re-seating your RAM. |
