| Get an iMac. They are super-simple to use and about the same price as an equally equipped PC (but with a much better operating system). It is an all-in-one with a beautiful screen. The mouse, by the way, has two buttons, it just doesn't look like it. Macs also have very advanced (more so than Windows Vista's) photo tools and music tools (namely iPhoto and iTunes). They also have a great browser, Safari, but if you don't like it, you can always just get Firefox 3 for Mac. |

Are you joking!??........Definatly mac! Highly recommended! It's a virus free computer.
Hahaha! Your funny. There has been a Zero day virus for at least half of the .Mac computers released in since OSX. Safari is EXTREMELY vulnerable to attack. |

Mac You get iPhoto, iTunes, iCal, iMovie and everything else "I" But seriously Macs are GREAT as family computers although HP makes a touchscreen computer which is pretty neat as a centralized family computer. |

| right now, i'm seriously considering a mac myself. windows is becoming such a drag with vista and the thousands of new problems that has created, and i've heard that changing over to a mac is really easy to get used to. |

| PC = if you hate change; if copying and pasting gives you headaches; if sticking with same-old makes you happy Mac = if you like to buy an overpriced gadget with matte finish; if you like a mousepad with one button; if you love Steve Jobs jkjk... I'd say both does an equally good job at these basic functions (internet surfing, music, photos). Personally, I'd go for Mac...the learning curve is easy and once you get used to it, I'm sure that you'll be happy that you made the switch. Recommend the white MacBook with the DVD-burner...probably the best bang for the buck...but I'd wait until after WWDC to see if there will be any updates. Good luck shopping. |

| If thats all you plan to use it for, then both Windows machines and Macs are perfectly fine for this. They both come with a music player/library and hey both come with a photo storage util. Myself i would go for the PC simply as it is cheaper and it's not like you need anything particularly special for these tasks. |

If its just for that, get a mac. You could say its like a baby's first computer because even a baby could use a mac. PC's are really for more advanced users
Not even in the slightest.
Not from what Ive experienced. Macs are easy as hell to use, but they dont seem to do much. I have a macbook and I can safely say that it was a mistake. |
