I seriously need help. My game is not loading. It's a particularly rare game.

NO IT'S NOT GRAND THEFT AUTO: VICE CITY STORIES!!!

It's actually a game called Haunting Ground. I got it at Gamestop a few hours ago, and it doesn't work. The PS2 just shows the red screen that says, "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 disk"

I checked the disk, and there's almost absolutely no scratches. There's just the occasional one that's really small. I held it up to the light, and no light leaks through.

What should I do? I don't want to return it, cause I'm probably not going to get another copy back.

Does your PS2 do that with all games or just that one?

 Just this particular one.

It might have been formatted with a different region code than your PS2 will recognize.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

its your PS2 man. the same thing happened to mine a few years ago with the game Scarface. Then a few weeks later my 'bigger' games like GTA started to not work so I traded it all in for a 360
