Apollo Posted at 10:04 pm on April 17, 2005 Thanks a lot.  Are these models just for rpgs?  Or can they be used for rts games too?  I want to make an RTS, a game LIKE:  (if you've ever heard of them) Star Craft, Ground Control 2/Star Wars Force Commander, Age of Empires.  Something along those lines.   Flammenmeer Posted at 4:21 pm on April 17, 2005 I do not know of this Dark Basic you speak of.  However, what kind of game do you want to create?  2D or 3D?  If you want to do 3D (that'd be awesome   ), I guess you know that you'll need a 3D engine.  And, you will need 3D models (which you can make in 3dsmax or gmax).  Yes people, it is encouraged that you use gmax.  You can download it for free off of www.discreet.com.  Gmax is basically 3dsmax minus the renderer etc.  Same company too...
