Hey all,
I need help getting started, I've got the Dark Basic program, but I need graphics, character design, terrain creator, or just a team to help me out.  This will be my first, and I'll hope to add to this game a lot.  THXS!

Ah, StarCraft   .  Love that game.  In that game, they used 3D images, but rendered them into 2D images, so it's considered to be a 2D game (no wonder it runs on older computers   ).  However, WarCraftIII is a 3D game that uses 3D models and textures and renders them in real-time using a 3D engine.

Thanks a lot.  Are these models just for rpgs?  Or can they be used for rts games too?  I want to make an RTS, a game LIKE:  (if you've ever heard of them) Star Craft, Ground Control 2/Star Wars Force Commander, Age of Empires.  Something along those lines.

I do not know of this Dark Basic you speak of.  However, what kind of game do you want to create?  2D or 3D?  If you want to do 3D (that'd be awesome   ), I guess you know that you'll need a 3D engine.  And, you will need 3D models (which you can make in 3dsmax or gmax).  Yes people, it is encouraged that you use gmax.  You can download it for free off of www.discreet.com.  Gmax is basically 3dsmax minus the renderer etc.  Same company too...

ALSO,
Does anyone know how I can make pictures, or characters?  Not to do any action, but just for pictures.  AND how to be able to put them into a Dark Basic program.  :)

What I'm really looking for is someone who could help me.  Thxs again!
