tell me again Posted at 3:31 pm on Oct. 13, 2008
I'm on a pre-paid GoPhone, which doesn't have international roaming.

Can someone please tell me if it will work to buy a separate sim card and insert it into my phone?

Do carriers generally lock their SIMs? Has anyone done this before with a AT&T phone?

Your phone generally has to be unlocked for that to work, unless the prepaid international sim is from your carrier.

Damn that sucks. I'll be trying to meet up with people overseas. Not to mention my paranoid parents who will want to call me every day.
