tell me about it and thanks could you suggest a wifi ststem to use as my belkin keeps dying on me
I use Netgear which seem to work pretty well, and before that I used D-Link. Linksys are also a highly recommended company. I'd say just look around on their websites and see what other people are saying on places like Amazon, etc. I've heard bad things about Belkin products so it's a good idea to stay away from them! Tell you about what else? |

Virgin media suck. That out of the way, any WiFi router should work fine with Virgin Media, the ISP is really irrelevant at this point. Cable is the coaxial cable like from a TV aerial (but instead goes underground). Some people have Internet provided through that cable to a modem, and others have ADSL which goes through the phone line.

You just have to make sure that you get a standalone WiFi router and not one with a builtin modem (if you're unsure how to use it and are ok with using the modem that you get from Virgin).
