I'm trying to download the update for iTunes, but every time it brings me to the Apple site, it crashes firefox.  I've been online all day long, and I don't have any problems on any other site.

Note:  A suggestion to use Internet explorer instead of Firefox won't help, due to a nasty virus which I've already removed completely disabled ANY connection with Internet Explorer, any suggestions?

::UPDATE::

Okay, I downloaded Firefox 3 and still no luck.  It actually finished loading the page, but then quickly crashed firefox.

I tried to download the update through iTunes alone, and it crashed iTunes.

It is a valid install.  I downloaded iTunes directly from Apple.com.

FF3 is so much better than 2. Also, since its so much more widely used that ever before, many more sites are Mozilla compatible.

What version of FF are you using?

2.0.0.16

I was having the same problem and it's fine now with FF3.

FF3 is kind of disgusting though so maybe you should just go with a different browser like the others are suggesting.

And try to do it with Opera.

Use Opera for it.
Though I don't know why you need to go to the iTunes site. My iTunes does all internal update. No browser required.
