I didn't know what to call this but

a while ago we went from comcast to at&t and now the computer in the basement still thinks we are on comcast.
the o/s is linux.

also when i goto nmap my network, i get the windows host name instead of the linux host name

soo it would be like

james-pc

not

linux-box

When ever I pull up a networking tools command it'll show it. I couldn't find the file to show that its route is still through comcast because I don't know where to find it and change it. Basically it'll just show it as a route under comcast.

What do you mean, your Linux computer still 'thinks' you're on Comcast?  What settings or configurations in the OS show Comcast still being the ISP?
