Like they could find out where the person who's stealing the wireless is living?
Most likely very close. And many people use their name in their computer name, so you could know if you know your neighbors. On most routers you can just connect to http://192.168.1.1/DHCPTable.htm and see names. When someone is on the network here who should not be I just ban their MAC.
I also use this method to ban my neighbors from accessing my network. They're probably hackers or sth..cuz they seem to be getting back in every few days after I changed my password... |

Yes/No...they will know your computer name, your mac address and possibly be able to see your shared files. For the most part you don't have to worry if you are using your neighbor's internet as long as your not download lots of stuff. If you are using it to browse don't worry about it.

There's some law in some country or maybe a state here where it's illegal to steal internet via wireless. I can't remember where but I was amazed. It's a felony if caught. sketchy

You can check IP's and terminals connected via Internet settings.

Yes, but unless you live next to an IT guy there is a slim chance anyone would take the time to do that.
