Azureus is good, however, since they went to Vuze, it has gotten too heavy. I recommend you use BitTyrant, as it uses the Azureus code, however, it is lighter. As for the .rar , it is a file formant. WinRAR is good, however, is is paid after the trial. 7zip is a free archiver program. You can download it at: http://www.7-zip.org/ To install, simply unpack the .rar archive and then run the setup file or follow the readme file as they are usually included.

RAR files are compressed files. You need a program, like blufindr said, to uncompress the file and access the info within. WinRAR is a good one. Torrents vary in speed, and firewalls can occasionally cause problems... but if you successfully downloaded it, I wouldn't be worried. It takes time.

The files download, but some of them come in .RAR format, like Acoustica BeatCraft, and I can't run it, because I have no appropriate program to run it with.

I use Bitlord for downloads. Is Aze the same sort of thing? And btw, if you're torrenting, then it's not going to be quick, genius. In Bitlord, once you've downloaded it, the playable file will be under files, and I just double-click it. It's usually .avi when it's a film.
