You can not transfer computer programs, because of the fact that some files do not copy right, and you should download the programs from the Internet onto a portable hard drive, and or a USB Drive (A.K.A. JumpDrive).

Put one finger in each of the USB ports on the computers and yell out the name of the file/programs that you want to transfer.

put the hard drive from the old computer into the new. If you need more space you might be able to fit more hard drives.

Just keep the install files. Probably be more convenient than transferring them. Depends on the program though. Some programs need regkeys, so they need to be reinstalled. Some other programs can run off portable drives, so they can be moved around (media players, some games, etc)

Upload files to a file hosting site, or to a USB drive. Download when ready.

A portable hard drive would probably work.
