how to put a header on just one page of an excel worksheet?

Placing it in one of the cells would work. However, there's a simpler way to do it (in Excel 2007, at any rate).

1. Open Print Preview (File -> Print Preview under older versions, Office Logo -> Print -> Print Preview under 2007), and click Page Setup.

2. Go to the Header/Footer tab.

3. Check the Different First Page checkbox.

4. Click Customer Header.

5. Go to the First Page Header tab (leave the Header tab blank).

6. Fill it in.

7. Repeat for a footer if desired.
