I had that, firstly its a worm and secondly you have to find the root file to get rid of it which could take ages best to download something for it. Spyware doctor get rid of mine. Also dont accept the file, when you open it gets sent to the people on you contacts list without you knowing. The worm does nothing its just to anoy people. Try: http://www.download.com/1200-2018-5139934.html |

First thing she needs to do is get a virus program. http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10342876.html?tag=lst-0-2 is fairly good, and free. This may or may not get rid of the virus, and the way you have described it sounds more like they might have a trojan. I know this will be a bitch, but back up all of you important files, docs ect. Then try stystem restoring to a date you know the computer was working properly. If that doesn't solve the problem, I would suggest that you completely restore they computer using the emergency restore disks that come with the computer, or re-installing windows/OS x/Linux. |
