but still avg looks very crap.

Hence why you go with 3rd party testers.

AVG looks pretty crappy for spyware though. But who uses AVG for anti-spyware?

Probably a lot more people than we'd like to think.....

Ive used AVG. It can be a reasonably good AV, if you can avoid that urge to click every fucking thing on your screen. I'm using Kapersky these days, and I'm reasonably happy with it.

lol. I use a combination of AVG + Spyboy. I have sufficent ram to leave teatimer on all of the time which helps catch sneaky programing trying to change my registry.

I had KAS7 but the software conflicts were just ridiculous so I didn't renew. I got it for $5 though after newegg's $50 rebate.

I never believe graphs created by a company to sell products.  Numbers can say anything, this is the first thing they teach you in psychology or any science class.

I have used, and still pretty much use AVG Free, and I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Most statistics can be made to say anything they want. I am left to question the credibility of that graph. I have used Bit Defender, Kaspersky, AVG, and Nod 32. And I have found that Nod 32 has missed stuff that either Kaspersky caught or Bid Defender got. Most reviews would even back this up.

That being said, Nod 32 is not as good as that graph makes it out to be.

seen as it was done by them i'm just thinking that like they chose viruses that they know thing...

but still avg looks very crap.

you do realise that the graph there was made by one of the anti virus makers on the list..

it's like mccain saying obama isn't good enough for the presidency.. that's because mccain wants the votes.. that means the graph there is bullshit...

avg is good.. the best you can get for free

i know but there has to be some truth in it, otherwise it is misleading and they can get sueddddd

heres all i have to say about AVG.. you get what you pay for.

but that's not the free version i don't think

AVG sucks period.
The graph proves that.

The graph shows how many viruses AVG passed over and didn't catch it.

AVG is the worst!

NOD32 is the best, but not free. Best free is Avira Antivir. AVG is getting out of the free stuff, by next year the free AVG will be discontinued they have said.
