So, I want to know, what is the best anti-virus out there?

I don't mean that it doesn't interfere, because I don't mind.

Here is what I'm looking for.. It:
-Can have all the technical jargon, because I can understand it
-Is easy to use. So I can just go "Scan (insert section of computer here)"
-Doesn't control my computer and what I do
-Defends my computer from viruses, and isn't known to have viruses disabling the antivirus

I just had BitDefender, and it was o.k, but I didn't like it too much.

The price is irrelevant, I'll find a way to 'pay' for it.

Oh, don't even suggest Norton Antivirus or any of those generic Microsoft ones, I know they don't work.

Avast! Anti-virus

It's fast and has lots of advanced features. (Plus, it's free)

I liked nod 32 eset, it was free and didn't lag down my computer like fuck kind of like shit like mcafee and norton would. It was also easier to use. AVG is nice too, but I miss nod32, partly because AVG keeps bugging me about updates when nod32 would just do its stuff without bugging me.

Kaspersky Internet Security and Anti-virus.

By "paying" I assume you mean downloading. If so I know sites with files + working keys.

Fuck key gens/keys, cracking is the way forward. Crack it yourself or buy it IMO.

I switched from AVG to Avast! and it's so far so good.

IMO, AVG.

Too well known, prone to viruses.
