WOW thats alot,as roy said use that link to learn how to reformat before that.
Try Avast anti-virus,
Its a Good software.you can get that for free from here > http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

first you have to register and get the Activation key[they will Email you the Key#],after that download >Install > Run the Avast anti-virus >finally activate it by the Activation key.

After the Installation is done Run Avast and scan your PC.

And Try AVG Anti-Virus too many people say thats good,I've never used that but try that.Any how Avast is the best.Im using Avast.

Yeah.. If 1600 infected files keep coming back on your computer, save anything you want to keep to a CD.

Follow the steps on the following website to format;

If you have 1600 infected files just reformat it. Anything you want to save put on a disk though. Other post tell you what to do so i'm not going into it.

How you reformat the hard drive?

you should try other stuff like run your anti-spyware program in safemode, see if that helps, it that does not, then you can reformat the hard drive

to reformat the hard drive, you click on my computer then right click on the hard drive you wish to reformat and click on reformat but be warn, you will ease everything from the hard drive if you do that, you should just try stuff first, use the reformat if you have nothing else you can do

How you reformat the hard drive?

Try your spyware removal program in safemode, before you do anything that drastic.

How you reformat the hard drive?

Well you must realise that you can't get anything back once you do. With your computer, there might be something like a red disk. At least, that is the case with my Packard Bell computer. Check through the stuff you got with your computer.

You are not looking to reformat your computer per-say, but you are trying to restore your computer back to factory settings (what the computer was like when you purhcased it). Otherwise if you don't have a CD for your computers operating system, then you might just end up with a blank hard drive with nothing on it, including your operating system.

Well first thing, does your computer even have a firewall? Becuase your computer does need real time protection from the internet. You could also do with maybe a new browser, or even a pop up blocker. You might just need a few programs to clean up your computer, and then to install and use some protection ones. I might just suggest you do an online scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/.

If you want to clean out your computer entirely by reformatting, then sure, you can. This is partly why companies create images/back-ups of their network computer systems. I would have backed up on this computer, but I don't have a DVD writer, and it would take a large amount of CD's if I used that method. We did manage to backup certain things, and the only reason we did it becuase of the disclaimer on the online scanner thing we did, like I showed above.

Get all the files that you find important to you, and then put them onto a removable storage medium, just to make sure you don't lose anything.
