The computer boots up and McAfee pops up saying Stealth Boot Virus deteched press OK to reboot with the system recovery disks or something of that nature. First, I don't have any cd's/boot disks. The computer has Windows 2000 ME. So online it was telling me to download a bootme file and stick it on a floppy except when I try to get it to boot from the floppy it isn't able to boot from it. So anyone know how I would go about getting rid of it? I put AVG on it and it didn't find any virus... Perhaps McAfee is full of it. But whenever you turn the computer on it starts doing a disk check... So I'm thinking the virus has affected the MBR perhaps... So any ideas how to remove it?
