McAfee is good because already services it.

Free:
AVG or
avast!

If you are paying go for:
Kaspersky

The problem with KAS is that for it to be truly effective it becomes somewhat of a burden for most people. There's a line between productivity and security and KAS tends to cross it all too often.

Then you must be doing something wrong...

I have been using AVG for two years now, on three different computers, and it cleans up after Norton.

If its not working, I have my doubts that there is something wrong with the program.

Good call.

Out of those two, McAfee. Norton is shitty.

No ways. Norton has faster updates and better results and is less of a resource hog then McAfee. I'd rather run off a guest account then entrust my computer to McAfee.

both do suck though.

I'm going to second (third, fourth?) the AVG. Really great although I don't think the free version has realtime protection.

AdAware is also really good.

TashaTiffany Posted at 3:07 pm on Jan. 27, 2008
I symantec antivirus, whatever that is.

Norton is a virus.

It ruins computers.
