We all know that certain artists sound very different on CD and live as if they can't really sing. Others just never really perform live and just move their lips to the playback... But nevertheless, some utterly perfect singers are true artists who perform equally fantastically both live and on CD.

Which do you prefer?

CD.
The noise of the crows bugs me when it's live.

This.

Except, of course, if it's some Aerosmith concert.

Live, the last concert I went too, I was inches away from the front, the feeling of the sound vibrating throughout my whole body making me feel like my chest is about to explode.

Yeah, thats heaven. Especially when your with someone you love

For those who do both well, I prefer CD overall but I really enjoy seeing them live sometimes. Live gives more of an emotional thrill if performed well, but I like hearing all the sounds and words clearly for the most part.

I've seen tons of live acts and there is only one band I can say sounded just like their cd, the sound quality, tone, pitches, amazing how they did it, and it wasn't lipsynch because they are not big enough to do that and are not douche bags.
Other than that the worst I've heard was Silversun Pickups who sounded horrible live and I kinda like their cd and ghostland observatory which has the best live show ever conceived but not the greatest cds
Live music is always better tho
