Do you think it would help? Because I would be uber bored whilst waiting for it to finish so I really would rather not.

But, since you obviously have too much boredom to do it during the day, I would run it right before you go to bed. I'm assuming you know how to defrag, because you are talking about it like it's no issue to do, just a matter of time. I personally don't do it every week, I do it more like once a month, because I usually forget, and then someone reminds me about it, and it still has a quick enough run time, something that doesn't take all night or anything. osmoticdespair Posted at 7:00 am on Aug. 27, 2008 Sometimes I don't even brush my hair once a week. For the Automatic Updates, I have my laptop set to only notify--I control if/when downloads/updates occur. And as for power management, I adjust it accordingly, but I usually have it set to standby after about two hours of idle time.
