You know how you get banned from a place? I see people all the time changing their IP address so they can get back in. How can I do that and will it have negative effects on my computer? No I am not using it to make mischief. I just want to know.........

IP adress is an internet protocol adress. IP adresses are devided into four classes class A ; B; C and D. depending on your ISP will determine what Class you have. now while on a private network you can mannually reconfigure the IP address of any computer or device when they try to go out on the network the ip address is translatied into an internet compatable IP adress, this address is assigned to you automaticly by your ISP. so you could try reseting your router or modem, in the hopes that you will be assigned a new IP however i believe that weather or not that will work depends on your ISP. i wouldnt know because i've used the same ISP my whole life.

Turn your modem off for the night.

Release your IP and renew it.

Several ways it can be done.

Look let me explain. I don't know anything. I don't even know how to get to my IP address settings lol

You can either use a proxy which annoys me (they are soo slow) or you can reset your router like it says up there ^

If you restart your modem/router your ISP normally automatically assigns a new external IP address to you.
rileyy Posted at 5:09 pm on Jan. 9, 2009
you need to use a proxy site, such as  http://urlroute.com
