I was looking at the new classes available next year at school, and one that kind of caught my eye was a class in QBasic.

At that time I just though, "Pfft, QBasic? Isn't that for like 8 year olds?"

I already have moderate knowledge of HTML, JS, and Lua and I've been really itching for programming classes at my school. I was hoping for Java or C++ but would this class offer me anything new at all?

the only thing a QBasic class gives you, is credits
If you wanna learn at all, don't pick it

Qbasic is a fairly old procedural language. You are much better off going with something more modern and class based and scripted. So Java, C++ or C# are all good picks.

C++ would be my last choice of those 3 given its not a very modern language and not very good for teaching you good habits.
