I just programmed Simpson's rule into my Ti-89 and it gives me correct answers.

Yay for simplifying an excruciatingly tedious math process into a few button strokes.

In numerical analysis, Simpson's rule is a method for numerical integration, the numerical approximation of definite integrals. Specifically, it is the following approximation:


Yeah, try learning that, and memorizing it.  Not to mention all the math that goes into plugging into that formula.
