1.Get overall torque specs for the front end from a mechanic or a reliable source. A mechanic's basic tool set. Also will probably need a CV puller/hammer. (rent one from Autozone)
2. Lift the car
3. Remove the wheels
4. Remove the castle nut and cotter pin from the axle
5. Remove the outer lower ctrl arm bolts and slide out the knuckle from the arm.
6. Slide Axle from knuckle (at this point it is optional and recommended to also replace the wheel bearings.)
7. Use the puller to remove the axle from the differential. and install the new.
8. Now put it back together and get to the otherside and do the same.

I know its not detailed but thats the meat of the job.

Why don't you just ell your friend you don't know how?

Wouldn't that be much easier?

And +1 on the ask a honda/civic dedicated forum.

Did you all fucking forget what I said. This WAS for my friend on another site. I'd post it but that's advertising.

no its not.

And if you or your friend had any shred of intelligence you'd join a dedicated civic forum to find out.

Seriously this isn't fucking brain surgery

Yeah I know but there has to be at least someone who does. Not like it matters anyway.

dood, you are looking for a needle in a haystack. we gave you our advice, visit another forum because you aren't going to get your answer here due to its complexity.

Then why the hell is there a car subforum if know one knows anythign?

you are starting to sound so fucking retarded that even if you did get the instructions to fix your shit, you wouldn't be able to comprehend what they state to do.

ss454 Posted at 2:17 pm on Aug. 31, 2008
The forum description:

Discuss car and truck brands and models. Do you have a lemon? Can you fix it yourself? Did you pay too much? Need car insurance quotes?

None of us are Honda technicians here, don't you realize that?

Well, since a majority of people drive and have jobs.

Many people who frequent this place are not old enough to drive.  And for those who are they most likely do not know how to fix their car, at least for major parts.  And many who drive do not pay for their car, they are given it and all is paid for by parents.
