I'm a freshman, I haven't even declared my major yet, and yet I'm already freaking out about job prospects. I want to be a Web Developer but I can't seem to get any solid info as to whether or not it's a good idea. One site made it sound okay, another mentioned outsourcing:

"With the software industry beginning to mature, however, and with routine software engineering work being increasingly outsourced overseas, job growth will not be as rapid as during the previous decade."

I'm also worried about the major I'd be achieving my goal through -- IT. Most IT majors sound pretty boring, nothing amazing (at least not from my perspective although there's nothing wrong with wanting to be an IT major) but the school I'm transferring to has a different setup. These sites, though, keep mentioning CS and CE...I might be able to swing CS if I wanted (not great with math but determined) but there's no way I could do CE.

Argh, so nervous... I should probably just transfer, start taking the proper courses, and then confer with my academic advisor but I have an anxiety disorder so I can't really relax all that easily.
