you say you don't want artistic nudity to be allowed because we need to create an environment that is thirteen-year-old friendly and if parents take one look at and underwear picture and that they won't allow their kids to use LW.

Well listen, you may not have noticed this or maybe just become numb to it over the years, but you've got some bigger fish to fry.

Other moderators do, including David.

I have no personal problems with images like that, but it is an decision we have come together as a moderation team, with over 20 of us discussing it.

I was the one who posted the announcement, not the one who wanted the guidelines changed originally, not the one who wanted stricter guidelines on it. Its better for someone who wasn't involved in the public  fiasco yesterday to post the announcement than someone like Jesse, Sean or Audrey.

actually, he didn't until the mods fucked everything up very recently, I was told many times that artistic nudity is fine.

You were also contributing to what went on yesterday as I recalled, also posted today saying you were involved.

Involved in what? the 'protest?' No I wasn't, but I posted something recently that was similar to it in nature.

Then many of the mods were confused about the rules, because I've had several mods tell me in the past that artistic nudity is perfectly allowed.

I thought about it and you're right, no personal judgment on what can be considered art is necessary, we need to get all these dirrrrty nudes ^ off LW.

As I said before, LiveWire is not ready to host images like this.

We are primarily a teen site and any system can't prevent someone simply linking you the image once hosted.

I see no problem with LW hosting images like that, they've been hosting them for a long fucking time.

you just want all the rules changed your way now that you're a mod.

You do not when they get avatarised from the image basket (ps. I'm a mod so I might know how the avatar system workss)
But you could mark them explicit going IN to the image basket silly.

That or change how the rule that to be avatars they can come straight from your IB, no approval needed.

These are my suggestions.

Do not for image basket images.

We do not want images like this hosted on LiveWire, it isn't ready as a site to do so.

Uh I never said I planned on uploading nekkie pics in my IB?

and yes, mods do have to approve of them all one by one.

Yep there is certainly the technology for computers to read externally linked images and see if it is explicit, for someone to tell them to go look at it, or for an external image to be embeded.

What we have imposed isn't hard to go by and isn't very bad on the whole.

Nudity art where it belongs is what we have asked, and not in the avatars.

no, mods have to approve of images before they can become avatars or are approved for your IB you dolt.

And that isn't in your avatars or can be posted in other forums than designated.
Is that a challange?

I promice I can make a topic without an explicit lable that doesn't belong on the sex forum that is sexually explicit in nature. that shit happens all the time, pay better attention.

Is it now hard to avoid a topic named "Masturbation Discussion Tyme" in the fresh topics section on the sidebar?

I'm not talking about that particular topic.

You linked it into the topic for an example.

Its easy to stay away from these topics if you can as they are usually named well, or have an explicit tag.

Nothing is full-proof in the world and there is always going to be times when something happens the way it isn't supposed to. We have put in measures to help make sure things don't happen which people don't want, or have made us do through the way people have acted.

So you couldn't have made an explicit filter for pictures as well, that would have to be turned on to view them?

Quit being so anal.
