in reality the vast majority are just horny teens, while 'sexual predator' might be a strictly technically correct term, it really gives the wrong message.

For the safety of the our members Scottyrob needed to be banned, however i don't think that he should have been called a sexual predator.

youre assuming a lot about some lame computer nerd. maybe hes just a horny geek

'severe consequences'? maybe in the context of modern law, but however i feel that this kind of behavior is rather tame compared to serious offenses. and if he had to face chris hansen style consequences that would be some lynch mob bullshit because that 'catch a predator' horse shit is essentially entrapment

okay, i dont think its really up to an internet forum to 'teach him a lesson'. and how do you know that? does banning with a reason thats potentially extremely damaging for something relatively minor compared to a real 'sexual predator' actually solve any problem? i highly doubt it

The internet is his feeling of power, so any negative action  on his fuel tank of superiority (an internet forum) is a lesson that just because this isn't real doesn't mean you can't get away with anything that is still morally wrong.

He may not be a "real" sexual predator, and have no intentions of any harm what so ever. He however knew what he was doing is wrong and could have severe consequences possibly. What if they pulled some Chris Hanson shit on him through this forum (far fetched but possible) that would have been a hell of a lot worse than being called a "sexual predator". If that happened he would have to face the consequences even if he is just a "horny loser".

why is justice needed for some stupid computer nerd trying to get nude pics of teenage girls?

Again, he also had a ridiculous ego to go with it. He himself felt as if the internet was a gateway to do or say anything he wants and portray himself as a superior.

it doesn't matter what the law is

we are talking about a social context, if the law is stupid and doesnt make sense in social context, why should livewire promote that

20 years old isnt that different than a teenager, and just cause something seems creepy to a few people doesnt mean it falls under 'predator'. i personally dont find it creepy, just lameeeeeee

I would agree with you, but Scottyrob just had a huge ego to go along with it. He needs a reality check, and he got it.

okay heres one

Scottyrob is like 20+ years old, asking 13 year old girls for naked pictures or talking about sexual acts with that person.

You can't assume he is just a horny teen when he is clearly an adult.

What part of that does not make him a sexual predator. Chris Hansen wouldn't approve.

do you have evidence hes 20+

and that all the people he asked were like 13

id say hes probably just a horny loser

whether or not someone is technically an 'adult' doesnt mean shit, its the same thing whether theyre 17 or 20

horny lose sounds about right, I didn't like that ego-maniac

i didnt like him either

but i think calling someone a sexual predator unless theres a real case of it

is wrong

and thats almost impossible to determine

It does come off as a strong word, but I am sure it teaches him a personal lesson. If you keep doing shit like that one day you are either going to ruin your reputation as a human or get into trouble.

Calling him just "horny" does not have its justice. He knows what he did is wrong, and he deserves a punch in the face for doing it.

He has posts stating his age. Hell he doesn't even have to say it you could even just look at his pictures.

Horny Loser (sits at home all day building internet relationships with underaged girls for the purpose of his own self pleasure because he will never get anything like this in reality) = Sexual Predator

 Horny Teen = Horny Teen

 There is a difference.

sexual predator=dangerous older man who tries to arrange shady meetings with kids and young teen girls

define 'underaged'

A law is a law not matter how ridiculous it is.

A 20+ year old computer nerd trying to get naked pictures of an underaged (1 - 16) year old girl is pretty creepy to me. That breaks the barrier of just being horny. Luckily the computer and distance is holding him back from ever physically pursuing these girls.

However if it was a 17 year old girl and he was let say 18 or 19 even I could let that slide as not being creepy  even though the law is still against it.

It is just about the creep factor in all of it.
