The interesting thing, is if your in a good growth stock mutual fund and can get a fixed rate of around 5 percent, even without touching the fund, you could potentially have a ten-fold appreciation over thirty years.

Or what you could do is put 100 dollars month in to a low volatility growth stock, over 40 years, untouched, it could net over 1.5 million dollars over a 40 year period.
