Every other colour such as red, green, brown, yellow, auburn, teal, etc, all have wavelengths of light that correspond to the energies (E=hv) they emit. However magenta doesn't appear on the spectrum. I'll save the explanation, because you can read that in the article, but this is quite weird, no? A colour that has no wavelength, that technically doesn't exist.

Black is the absorption or absence of all color. The title was much easier and attracts attention for a more lively discussion.   It has no single wavelength, but a mixture of red and blue wavelengths. Therefor it is not "without a wavelength". There are many other colors that are like magenta, them being extra-spectral.
