but why is britan and ireland so big compared to the rest of europe?
According to my theory, that's because these countries emit more carbon than the other European countries.
i know that , but why? i though eastern europe would have more??
i figured it out myself bitches. thanks for fuk all!
Of course you figured it out yourself, the damn page you wanted us to explain actually tells you what it is. |

The rounder the representation of a country, the bigger its carbon emission, perhaps.

what, are you stupid or can't you read, it's a carbon emissions map, obviously the countries that produce the most CO2 would be the biggest |

| The map type is called a cartogram. A cartogram is where you take a specific attribute (such as GDP) and you make each country bigger or smaller depending on how much it reflects that. In your example, it's reflecting carbon emissions. In other words, how much CO2 that country is putting into the air. It should generally reflect two things: industrial output (factories, etc.) and affluence (cars and the ability to buy gas, etc.). Obviously most Western countries (plus others like Japan) will be rather large in such a map, and you'll see that to be true as the US and Europe are rather large in proportion to the rest of the world. |

No idea. A wild guess would be that they burn more fuel to produce energy and warm themselves.
