Why? Because all matter is merely condensed energy(proven through chemistry as matter can be converted to energy and vice versa) and black holes are infinitely dense, or in other words, they store an infinite amount of condensed energy in one area, making them the most pure form of energy, stored into a singularity, forever becoming denser with matter, or in other words, energy.

That makes sense.

(Those indulgent muthafuckas.)

Well thank goodness for that. If you were sober then it would have been worrying.

And BTW, it wasn't a necro, it was the second topic from the top

Wow, the original post is shocking, almost everything about it is wrong!

In fact, it was so bad that I decided to join just to answer him:

Black holes DO NOT store infinite amounts of energy! They do not create matter/energy, they draw it in with their gravitational influence. The matter/energy must ACTUALLY EXIST within the gravitational range of the black hole before it can be sucked in and 'stored'. Because of this, the amount of matter/energy stored in a black hole is FINITE, because they can only acquire a FINITE amount of energy, because there is only a FINITE amount of matter/energy within their range.

Did you see the key word there? FINITE! Nowhere in the universe today will you find a source of infinite energy! What on earth were you thinking?!?! How can a black hole acquire an infinite amount of energy?! It would have to suck up the ENTIRE UNIVERSE! I have NO IDEA why this wasn't obvious to you.

Also, energy DOES NOT HAVE VARYING PURITY LEVELS! How can energy be more or less pure?! Which ASPECT of the energy would affect the purity?! And how could the purity CHANGE DUE TO DENSITY?!?! This is absolutely absurd!

Anyway, no matter what the context, an increase in density (with no other changes) WILL NEVER, EVER result in an increase in purity! A very dense block of 2 carat gold is the same purity as a less dense block of 2 carat gold. WHY would density change purity?! Density DOES NOT CHANGE THE NATURE OF PARTICLES or energy to the entity more pure. I have no idea how you could possibly draw such insane conclusions! I'm not sure you even understand what the word 'purity' even means!

It seems that the original post was a classic case of an ignorant fool who tried to draw ridiculous conclusions on things he had absolutely no knowledge of. I could have proved him wrong when I was seven years old because his errors are so basic!

I will be very interested to see if the original poster has a response to this.

Please don't necro-post. We've already been over this. The entire post was frivilous and I really put no more thought into it than hey let's say something and see what happens. Lol, don't drink and post.

Try to prove black holes consist of matter... Pffft. Try to prove them infinitely dense... After you do, site it...

Einstein did a pretty good job of that. You might want to look at the general theory of relativity.

That said, nothing gets "proven" scientifically. For instance, you can't prove that gravity is real.

of course you can prove gravity is real

That doesn't make sense as explained above. But you are right in your original assertion due to the black hole's capacity to break every bond between atoms resulting in a 100% release of energy.

Well, sort of.

No.  Infinite density would be a finite amount of energy in an infinitesimal "area."  At least, roughly speaking.

This is completely nonsensical.  "Purity" doesn't even make sense in this context.  And black holes, as it turns out, probably do not become denser forever.  I mean, their density is infinite, so they can't become more dense, but they can become more massive.  As it turns out, they probably don't become more massive forever, either.

There's so many things wrong with what you said I don't even know where to begin.

To state that a black hole can store an "infinite amount of condensed energy in one area" would be a complete refusal to acknowledge Hawking Radiation.

yeah, but then any single object is "pure energy". having more of it doesnt make it more "pure"

Because the energy is even more condensed then normal matter, at the singularity.

wut about antimatter and matter? when they annihilate you get 100% energy, and just the fact that it is infinately dense doesn't mean it is energy, not yet anyways.

Matter is energy, they are one and the same.
