I was told I might get better answers here, so thank you Porcelina.

I was just wondering if anyone on here knows someone who is, or if anybody on here who is HIV+? If so, could you possibly tell me how they dealt with finding out, or the waiting process to find out? Or heck, even what happens if you turn out +?

Sorry, I know that's a lot of questions. I might be +, that's why I'm asking. Honestly, I more than likely am. I have horrible luck, and it's probably like a 5-10% chance that I don't have it.

Any information you've got I'd gladly appreciate. Thanks. :)

I'm appalled by the lack of good response on here.

Because HIV is asymptomatic, the first 6 months, you may test negative even thought you are positive. Don't assume anything either way until you find out - you don't know until you know. Don't give yourself too much hope, but don't sign a death warrant yet. You just don't know. I wish I could relate to this personally, but that is not the case. Advancements in the treatment of AIDS and the HIV virus are made everyday - your chances are much higher than you think should worst come to worst. And it certainly hasn't yet. Best of luck, and learn from this, whatever the outcome. Life's just begun!

Check this out, I hope it helps:

Sorry to hear that, but don't get to down. You will have to make lifestyle changes, for the sake of yourself and parthers, but the lifespan and lifestyle are much better now than even the recent past, just do EXACTLY as your doctors say and you should live a good life.

idk, look online, maybe the CDC has info on it. or you can dial 411 for county health center. not too sure.

but if you are positive, I'm sure you can find info to find a specialist and maybe get started on some meds

Okay, if you read the actual post, I didn't say I didn't know how to get checked, or for y'all to tell me if I have it or not. Read the post, thank you very much.

Don't be stupid. The chances of you being negative are much higher than 5 - 10%.

I guess the waiting process is different for everyone. A girl who has had sex with 2 or 3 guys is going to find it easier than a guy who's been fucked in the ass by 20 guys.

What sort of risky behaviour did you take part in and with how many guys?

do what they tell you. my friend found out at 15. he was 18 when i met him. he did tons of drugs with the i am going to die anyway shit. you can live for a long time. do what the doctors tell you. dont give up.

A simple blood test, then you'll come back in or get a call for your results. If you are positive, most likely put on lots of medications =[    Don't know much else about it?
