I got one of those I think. Well he's not really inspirational but he's all, "No text books in this class! Use whatever books you want! There will be no exams! No midterm! Tell me what you want to study and we'll do it, I don't even care anymore!"

He's also an obvious aging hippie  

Ever gotten one of those and did you prefer it to regular teachers?

The most inspirational teacher I ever had was a student teacher in my eighth grade year. I swear he had a serious case of ADHD, but he was awesome and he inspired most of the students to get involved and work hard. I miss him. :(

My grade 7 teacher was like that...but he was sick he made his own course material and we learned more than what most grade 8 kids do.

yeah i had an english teacher in 9th grade who asked us what we wanted to learn and basically we ended up not learning to much of anything
