| i hate how people say its a life long disorder and then expect such an atrocious saying to bring hope to people, all it does is makes them use the 'disorder' as a crutch for fucking everything |

No, but my dad does have a mild form of autism, though it's only really noticable if you know him properly. |

| There are different degrees of Aspergers. It's a life-long disorder and it's primarily mental, although sufferers often have physical illnesses which can mistakenly be attributed to the disorder. It's very possible your cousin could learn to socially interact at college, even if it is at a basic level - it might be a good idea to share rooms as it would probably give her a better chance of meeting new people. |

| Asperger's is not a disease, it's a disorder. No, it shouldn't be physically crippling, although people with Asperger's can suffer with other conditions which can seem/can have phsyical effects. People with Asperger's can learn, especially in adult life, basic social skills or the like. |
