I didn't think about it prior to telling it either. I just made it up as I went. Anyways.. A man walks into a bar. He sits down and stares off into space. The bartender asks him, "What do you want?" And the man says, "I don't know, what do I want?" The bartender goes, "I don't know, what do you want?" and the man says "I don't know," and since he doesn't know, he walks out of the bar. As he's walking outside, a car hits him. He's laying almost dead in the middle of the street when an ambulance arrives. A man asks him, "What happened?" And the guy says "I don't know." One of the rescuers asks, "Is there anything I can do to help you right now?" Then, the man says, "I don't know. But I sure would like a beer right now."
