I like to eat sugar made by my black slaves at my Caribbean island plantation.

Why even mention that?

Why not just mention how you like chocolate that is grown via slave labor in Nigeria? At least you can be serious in that example.

Swiss chocolate is better

Curious, do you like much ethnic food?

I like some Italian, but not tomato products (spaghetti, lasagna)

I like some Chinese food, but that's what my Grandpa said before he visited China - and hated the food.

I don't like fish at all really, nor do I like shrimp, crab, or anything else like that.

I do love my turkey sub though

Well, this doesn't really include me, nor does almost all of that site, but it's pretty accurate for the average White.

Curious, do you like much ethnic food?

I'm such a picky eater that I tend to despise most ethnic foods.  My favorite "ethnic" food is Russian food, which is essentially mashed potatoes, meatloaf, salad, and kvass (a non-alcoholic but alcoholic tasting drink - same kind function as something like Coke in Russia, but tastes nothing like Coke if that makes any sense). Most people don't tend to consider Russian food very "ethnic" compared to American food - or at least until they read the names of the meals and go WTF is this.

Chinese food and Mexican food is pretty good, although I have to admit, I don't like the bizarre or really out there stuff.  I tend to like the more fastfood style stuff, like Panda Express for Chinese food or Taco Time for Mexican food.

The one ethnic food I absolutely cannot stand is Indian food.  Just the smell of curry and all of that stuff makes me

Of course, it'd serve you well to remind yourself that nearly any "ethnic" food you eat in the US will basically be an Americanized version of it, and rarely the real thing.  After all, in China, when you order lobster, you eat it raw and freshly killed, unlike in the US.

Food from other cultures!

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/01/19/7-diversity/

White people love ethnic diversity, but only as it relates to restaurants.

Many white people from cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York will spend hours talking about how great it is that they can get Sushi and Tacos on the same street. But then they send their kids to private school with other rich white kids, and live in neighborhoods like Santa Monica or Pacific Palisades.

But it's important to note that white people to do not like to be called out on this fact. If you run an ethnic restaurant you can be guaranteed repeat business and huge tips if you act like your white customers are adventurous and cultured for eating food that it isn't sandwiches or pasta.

I think if we really want to get specific and talk about white Americans instead of all whites in general, we could include corn in there (which is why I don't like talking solely in terms of a broad "white culture" since there are variations everywhere).
Well thats the thing that always make me scratch my head. Thats why i had a topic about it. I mean ppl keep saying culture that is made by whites but its so vague and broad when ppl say that it really doesn't say much.

Like when we say black culture we really mean black american culture and that is really differnt in many ways than african culture. Its a thing all its own.

The thing about white american culture is that it was so dominating and it includes so many OTHER cultures as part of it that its not even really a race thing. If you look at swing and cole porter and gershwin its like ok, is that music black, Jewish, southern, country, folk or what? and the answer is that its american music with some influences from all over and written by a jewish dude. I mean you can;t really get more american than that.

I rarely ever drink it, so eh.
yeah I hate tea!

Well thats why bread is really the one that really most come to mind when I think white/european food. Its staple food. Its been there for thousands of years and its more uniquely part of europe and found in eruope than most other foods.

I know and definitely agree.  What makes it even more so is the fact that nearly the whole economy and production of Europe was practically centered around wheat and bread prior to the Black Plague in 1347-51.  After that, things diversified a lot more (you had more wine production, people growing different things according to regional specialty, etc. as opposed to primarily just wheat - largely because during the 1300s people were struggling just to produce enough crops and couldn't specialize in wine production or any of that since they would starve if they did so, but after that plague, the population was at a low enough level that it became viable, making the European economy in 1500 much more healthy than in 1300, despite the massive depopulation).

That was a long time ago, I know, but bread still dominates despite that agricultural diversification.  In fact, of the three major crops in the world - wheat, rice, and corn - Europe still consumes more wheat than anywhere else in the world, even the US.  The US, instead, consumes far more corn than anywhere else in the world (and it's certainly true if you look at how much of our food has corn in it - about 1/3 or so, I believe.  Even fruits like apples are produced with corn as they use corn syrup to make the apples look shiny).  I think if we really want to get specific and talk about white Americans instead of all whites in general, we could include corn in there (which is why I don't like talking solely in terms of a broad "white culture" since there are variations everywhere).

hey I don't! I think more of chinese ppl actually. but maybe bec whenever I go to my Chinese friends their moms always ask if I want tea and at first I was like wtf do I look like I like that stuff and then I realized it was a standard thing for them and so I just smile and say no thanks politely.

Well, I don't really like tea much at all and was mainly speaking of the comments of some of my Chinese friends, although I do have to admit that of the tea I have had, I find British tea to suck.  I tend to prefer Chinese or Russian teas, but I rarely ever drink it, so eh.
